Biography

Aakriti Gupta is a medallist in Food and Nutrition with specialization in public health nutrition from Delhi University. She is a PhD Scholar from Delhi University, India. She has worked extensively as a research scientist at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. She has worked on various national level research projects in the area of Vitamin D deficiency, Pediatric Metabolic Syndrome and Geriatric Nutrition, Maternal and Child health and Iron deficiency anemia. She has attended several national and international conferences and has spoken as an international guest speaker on the topic of ‘Vitamin D deficiency in India’ at the 12th SEA Regional Scientific Meeting of the International Epidemiological Association 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand. She has an expertise in the area of micronutrient deficiencies amongst different age groups. She has several publications in indexed journals in diverse topics in the area of public health nutrition. She has written a chapter on Nutrition and Health in the 4th edition of Textbook of Community Medicine by Dr. Piyush Gupta for medical and postgraduate students.
